I am always on the look out for a property where my association’s Annual Convention can be the center of attention. With an average total attendance of about 150, our convention rates as a small to medium group at many hotel and convention center properties. Too many times, we become a little fish in a big pond so I’m always looking for a property where our members can be treated like the “big fish.” Adams Pointe Conference Center and Marriott Courtyard Hotel was just the right “catch” for our 2005 meeting.

Thank you for the follow up and even moreso for hosting us. We have two full training facilities which typically host our events. We began hosting “road shows” last year. The week of April 26 was our third such trip. It was by far the most successful. I have been attending meetings at offsite facilities either as a presenter or attendee for going on 8 years.

I have been to resorts/meeting centers outside of Denver, Palm Springs, San Antonio, and many other places. I have yet to come across a facility with a staff as cordial and prepared as yours. Everyone was very helpful and cooperative. The meeting room was also perfect. To top it off, the food was excellent. I come from family that ran restaurants and catering businesses on both sides. I know the difficult tasks involved with preparing food for a large number of people. Your staff could not have been better prepared or performed at a higher level. All of this was a major contributing factor to help us host one of the most successful events to date. I can only hope that our trip to Atlanta in August will approach the same results.

As for the events being held on a regular basis, we will not return with this particular workshop for at least two years. We are looking at hosting some other classes in the area, with dates to be determined. You can rest assured that we will not waste anytime searching for a host location. Once we have selected the date(s) for our next trip, I will notify you immediately so that we can begin planning. Thank you again for being such wonderful hosts. You have set the standard for all future trips the Simpson Strong-Tie workshop program will make. Please share our thank you with the entire staff.
